Week 51: One more week until Transfers!

All is well in our area. We have lots of work and lots of investigators to teach. I was disappointed when some of our investigators did not want to be baptized anymore. Earlier this transfer we had taught and established the 10th of June as their goal (and they accepted). Then some neighbors, pastors, and other people began talking bad and discouraging them to be baptized.  We had 10 people ready for baptism for the 10th of June, but now it's down to 5 for various reasons. I am confident that those 5 will be baptized. As for the others, we will still accompany them. They apparently ´´gave up´´, but I have faith they can still progress and be baptized. I don't know if i will be transferred still. I will know next Monday, but it´s very likely that i will be transferred because i have 3 transfers here and it's rare to stay more than 3 in one area. I am very curious to know what will happen this next transfer

Elder Thevenin and I are working well together. We haven't had any problems as companions. He has lots of good stories to tell about his life and the church. I have lots of respect for him and his family. We are happy workers and we like our area and our ward. We are looking forward to this Saturday for the baptisms. We were super pumped when we started this last week ( May 29th) with 10 people to be baptized on June 10th. We left the house everyday repeating 10, 10, 10, na dia 10. Then throughout the week some things happened in our investigator´s lives that took away their desire to be baptized. We were disappointed but kept the goal high and our vision the same.

I have enjoyed studying with Elder Thevenin. He has lots of knowledge of doctrine and scriptures. We enjoy our studies and i find my understanding and comprehension of the Gospel is growing. I feel closer to my family even though i'm very distant from them. I feel relieved that families can be eternal through the Plan of Salvation. I know that this is the church of Jesus Christ and that all the ordinances and covenants that we need were restored. I know that if we make and keep these covenants, the great plans and wonderful promises of our Heavenly Father will be fulfilled.
Have a great week and an awesome summer everyone!
